The collaboration between ACBC and Philippe Model gave birth to the Philippe Model Lyon collection. This project is inspired by the “La Confluence” district of Lyon, a former abandoned area of the French city and protagonist, in recent years, of an impressive urban redevelopment project, for a more eco-sustainable world.
1. Use a soft brush to tackle any dust / dried mud.
2. Avoid using sponges to clean your Corn Based sneakers. Instead, use a clean damp cloth. Wipe sneakers with a damp cloth (not wet) and then let the material dry naturally. Never wipe harshly.
3. Do not wash in a washing machine.
The shoe consists of an upper made of corn fiber and other biomass waste agricultural at 46%, from organic cotton laces and the inner lining derived from recycled plastic bottles.
Moreover, the sole is also made with recycled materials, in this case, recycled rubber. The Philippe Model Lyon White Corn Based shoes have been designed for everyday use, thanks to the comfort of the sustainable insole.
Founded in 2017, ACBC has pioneered a scientific approach to sustainability in fashion and released innovations such as their customisable modular footwear - Anything Can Be Changed. They invest in R&D and analyse environmental impact data to begin the design process. This approach has seen ACBC become the recipient of many awards and certifications, including being the first B Corp-certified Italian footwear brand and winning the Sustainable Fashion Award at Monaco Fashion Week in 2021.
