Simple and stylish hand woven grass placemats individually produced by one of Gone Rural's 780 rural eSwatini artisans. They make the perfect housewarming or wedding gift! Sold individually.
Each one is made from a mixture of Native eSwatini grass, luntindzi and Sisal. They are produced by braiding long strands of luntindzi grass. The resulting plaits are then woven, coiled, shaped, and sewn together. Lutindzi grass is harvested directly from the eSwatini mountains, while sisal, a regenerating weed, is sourced from the Lavumisa area. Fair Trade and handmade in Swaziland. Ecofriendly, with all our materials harvested sustainably while the colours are produced using environmentally friendly German dyes imported from South Africa.
Dimensions: 32cm diameter.
Care instructions: easy to clean with a damp cloth or dry brush with a tooth brush.
Spoon set not included.
